Our DevOps Solutions develop for an auto auction company in North America and Europe.
Their core business is wholesaling vehicles through a bidding process using traditional and online formats; they also provide other vital dealer services such as financing, dealer management systems, and auto reconditioning repair.
Initially, they were developing their reconditioning platform without any automation or lifecycle. They used to manually deploy new features to production two to four times a month, and when something went wrong, and their servers went down, they did not know the root cause of this, and their recovery time was about 30 minutes.
The challenge was creating an SDLC to avoid manual interventions and streamline the release process while maintaining quality and security. In addition, they wanted to monitor their application, receive notifications when something went wrong, have an easy way to identify the causes of problems, and have a shorter recovery time.
After understanding our client’s needs, Cloudreams incorporated a DevOps team of two engineers to define their new SDLC.
We created a new continuous integration and deployment, including unit testing, integration testing, and automated deployments. This helped us accelerate the release process from two to four times a month to once or twice daily.
In addition, we implemented a centralized logging solution and continuous monitoring to increase insight into their application and quickly detect where and why something is going wrong.
